My hand painted Maine Lobster Buoys, from the beginning

At the beginning of this year, when I made my goal of blogging more often and consistantly, I wasn't sure what that was going to look like.  I still don't.  Once a month feels positive.
sold oct 8 2011

I've been wanting to have a visual history of all the buoys I've painted since I sold my first one as a Christmas Ornament back on October 8, 2011.

Then I sold my first set of three.

Then came my first custom Wedding.  It was exciting & rewarding.  I still connect and paint custom work for this bride.  It was the beginning of many amazing connections with my customers.

These buoys were a super fun, fast paces custom project.  The bride gave me a lot of creative space for color choices.  She wanted bright and bold.  I love them!

Pink Lobsters!   Look closely and you will see I painted a pink lobster on each buoy. My most unusual custom request so far, one of the many reasons I love my customers, they help me think and paint outside the box.

Maine Fall Wedding

I am delivering these Lobster Buoy Wedding Favors to a Maine Bride this Friday for her Wedding on Saturday.   She found my little buoys a couple of weeks ago and contacted me through my Etsy Shop. https://www.etsy.com/listing/109878271/lobster-buoy-nautical-wedding-favor  She asked if I could custom paint 130 buoys for her and I said yes!

With every custom order request, comes a new creative experience for me.  A chance to expand my offerings.  Sometime the requests turns into a sale, sometime not, but all requests are valuable.  I learn from each experience and connection.  Gain new insights on what my customers would like to see offered.

This is my second big custom Wedding order.  My first, a few months ago, will be for an October Wedding next month.  I also recently completed a custom order of 50 buoys for a Baby Shower taking place next month.  All those buoys spreading out in the world, representing special memories for families and friends.
It humbles me and brings me great personal joy!

Lobster Buoy Wedding Favors Journey to my Etsy Shop

I'm going to ramble a bit, I'm so excited about the direction my Etsy Shop is going and,
stepping out of my comfort zone and documenting the journey of my creative offerings...
My newest offerings on my Etsy Shop http://www.bethscraftroom.etsy.com/ are Mini Lobster Buoys.  This time of year, they make the perfect Wedding Favor for your Guests.  They look great personalized.  I originally painted these buoys white with a handpainted Lobster on them, as Christmas Ornaments and sold  a number of them in the Etsy Shop.  In fact, a few weeks ago, a New England Bride was surfing the net to find a Lobster Buoy Wedding Favor for her guests that could be personalized and she stumbled upon my Sold Items Page of my Etsy Shop.  She contacted me, I made up some samples, I gave her a quote and she said Yes!  I will unveil the completed buoys after her Wedding this Fall, since they will be gifts for her guests.  In the mean time, I have now begun offering them in sets of three's and five's.
Hurry!!  The unassembled Mini Lobster Buoys arrived in the mail.

I put  little drop of glue in the whole and insert the dowel.
